  • Baskets for personal belongings

I’m booked, what do I need for class?

Wear comfortable clothing or active wear. It is not about what you wear but how you feel.

Socks are compulsory (grippies preferred and available to purchase), water bottle, sweat towel, your own mat for designated classes (optional as we have some in the studio).

Arrive 10 minutes earlier to your very first class so we can go over the apparatus if necessary and discuss any concern or query you may have.

How long are classes?

Classes are 50 minutes unless stated otherwise.

Private sessions are 60 minutes (10 minutes assessment/discussion + 50 minutes movement)

Your body

Tell your teacher before class if there is something we need to know about you. Notes will be stored on our system and we will offer appropriate options during class. If your physician has given any specific advice, or if you are not feeling your usual self on the day. We respect your privacy.

How many days a week should I come?

This is totally up to you and the time you wish to dedicate to your movement practice. You can choose from casual visits to more defined membership options.

I’m pregnant, can I join class?

You absolutely can if you have no complication associated with your pregnancy. Download and fill out the pre-screening form and bring it in for your first class.

Choose classes appropriate for your abilities, most of our classes welcome pre-natal people and our teachers will offer you appropriate options during classes following the current guidelines.

Check our the Guidelines for Physical Activity while Pregnant for more info on how we can support you throughout your pregnancy.

I’m injured, can I join class?

Depending on your injury, musculoskeletal issue, temporary or persistent pain, clearance from your physician is required to attend group classes. While our teachers can manage some issues and offer modification of movement without disturbing the whole class, some physical conditions may require you to attend Private Sessions with one of our Clinical teachers. Contact us on how we can support you best.

I want my child to attend classes

Unless it is a specific Teen Class we welcome children from the age of 12 with a parent or guardian present, and 16 for any athletic style classes. Contact us how we can support your young person starting their movement journey.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Bookings & Account Management

What if I need to cancel my class or I don’t show up?

Our 3 hour cancellation policy is in place so all Pilates Lane members have a chance to attend classes. You can cancel a class the same way you booked in. We do not accept cancellations via email, phone or social media messages.

  • Cancellations made more than 3 hours before class will get the session back

  • Late cancellations made less than 3 hours before class will forfeit the session on all per class services, UNLIMITED services will be charged $8 to your account

  • No-shows and absences will forfeit the session on all per class services, UNLIMITED services will be charged $15 to your account.

  • Being late is considered a no-show

  • Members on 2, 3, an4 classes/week will loose their session, and will be able to rebook additional session(s) if exceeding their quota/week. Additional class will be charged $15 each

How do waitlists work?

If the class you want is full, sign up for the waitlist. if/when a place becomes available you’ll get an email or sms to let you know you got into class if you have turned on your notifications. If you don’t reply we assume you are coming.

The 3 hour cancellation policy applies to waitlisted spots too, so cancel your waitlist if you no longer can make it to class.

If you are on the waitlist, consider yourself in. The waitlist stops automatically adding members to class list 1 hour prior the class time. You can add yourself to the class list if a spot becomes available within that time by checking the class status on your app.

Can I cancel or put my membership on hold?

All memberships can be cancelled with 4 weeks active notice. Email challengeyourself@pilateslane.com.au to put your membership on hold.
